The Waterfall at the beginning of time
Majestic Dettifoss in the North of Iceland is where the Engineer sacrifices himself and thus begins the epic saga of Ridley Scott's Prometheus.
Ridley Scott's team was not only filming the beginning of time by the canyons of Dettifoss in glacial river Jökulsá á Fjöllum. He started under the slopes of volcano Hekla in the South. When asked about the risk of filming by an active volcano at a press conference in Iceland Ridley Scott replied: "If one is afraid of nature in this profession then it would be best to find a different job."
