Mystical Frostfangs in Iceland

Jon Snow, the Night's Watch and the Free Folk from mythical Westeros will return to Iceland for season 3 of TV program Game of Thrones.

The mountains and glacial tongues of South Iceland represented the inhospitable Frostfangs in season 2. The HBO's production team was pleased with the authenticity added by the stark landscape and extreme conditions. The Icelandic production service companies and staff have experience in working in all kind of conditions and now Kit Harington, John Bradley and the other actors will again brave the winter conditions on an Icelandic glacier.

How to apply

The reimbursement scheme for film and TV production costs incurred in Iceland is simple and effective. Applications are sent to the Ministry of Industries and Innovation before the start of the production. Detailed instructions give an overview of the process and necessary documents.
